The village and park district of Glencoe have partnered to expand the annual Independence Day because of the village’s 150th birthday celebration. The day begins with a two-mile fun run before games and the 11th annual Glencoe’s Got Talent for kids under 18 at Kalk Park. This year will feature an expanded parade route beginning at 3 p.m. Central School and ending at the Party in the Park with live music and 9 p.m. fireworks at Lakefront Park.
