Bob Grese, Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan’s landscape architecture program, advocates for ecologically-based design and restoration. He researched the work of early landscape architects who adopted such an approach to design, such as the work of O.C. Simonds and Jens Jensen who worked throughout the Midwest, including Highland Park, and were known for the “Prairie style” of landscape gardening. Bob is the author of Jens Jensen: Maker of Natural Parks and Gardens and The Native Landscape Reader and co-edited Passion for Peonies with David Michener.
The program is cosponsored by the Glencoe Public Library, Friends of the Green Bay Trail and the Glencoe Sustainability Task Force.
